You guys ever see those airsoft naval ships? They make them out of balsa and cardboard, send them out on a lake and beat the snot out each other until they sink. If its a stock unpainted heng long no issue, but some people spend days on the detailing.

After I pointed that out with a mirror he was like OK MAYBE YOU HIT MEĪlso agree with FreakyDude's 2nd point about damaging the detailing. The other day I got into a nerf gun fight with my nephews, and shot the one RIGHT between the eyes with a hard rubber tipped shot, and he had was saying I missed even though he had a red mark in the exact shape of the tip right between the eyes. My stock tiger I've cleared 40 feet, and hit the house across the street from my, and if the house wasn't there I probably would have got another 10 feet easyĪgree a lot with texchap's #4.

#AIRSOFT TANK BATTLES MOVIE#
Here, in this movie at 1:24 you can see me do a 25 foot shot with my stock HL Tiger. I do pick up all the BB's I can find after each gunnery training. It was at a stationary tank, and it took several shots to range it in. I watched the hits and could see them bounce off, and a slight ''tick'' sound could be heard but it was faint. you can set up a tamiya apple and electronics on top of a small baseball and it won't matter that the target is a small baseball it will still get hit the same as if the apple was hooked up in a real 1-1 size tank.so the class stuff in IR i think is all just a big pipe dream that they try to do but in reality it don't work. you can clearly hear and see when you get hit by a bb since you most all the time will be 20ft or so apart because its hard to hit each other unlike IR that you can hit a guy 50+ foot away since it spreads a fake wide beam.Īlso they have bio bb's that biodegrade fast now and are just a good as high quality normal BB's they also have bio Marking BB's that when hit they leave a white or orange mark on the object they hit and it will wipe right off.Īnd forget the old tank class BS the IR is so fake and weather your tank is tiny or a big KT you are the same size target from the apple IR reciever in the tank. I feel air soft is much more FUN me and a buddy tried it at one of our last battles we had and we both had a blast and liked it. Wouldn't that stuff be good for a battle?
#AIRSOFT TANK BATTLES HOW TO#
Seen some stuff on the internet about how to get more power in the guns and seen some bullets that brakes and creates some dust when it hits. Isn't it power enough in the Heng Long airsoft guns to do good fighting?Or is it because it is too hard to see if bullets hits the target or not? Too hard to hit the targets? Why is everyone going for the IR version? I feel like it would be more cool to shoot real projectiles and I can accept if the barrels looks a little bit less realistic than on the IR versions. I planned to maybe get two tanks or more and do a bit of fighting with my daughter or brother. Maybe will start with a nice Taigen Panzer IV.Ĭhecked around a bit on forums and youtube the last days and noticed that most guys who want to do some kind of fighting with other tanks preferre IR tanks instead of Airsoft. Just saw some tanks in the local hobby store and felt that I have to get one (or a pair). I started my career in the Swedish Armed Forces working with APCs and anti-tank missle systems and always had some interest in tanks. I'm totally new to RC stuff and just going to buy my first Heng Long or Taigen tank.
